We have covered the details of Bleaching (Teeth Whitening) in a separate section. The laser application is an in-office teeth whitening technique. It is performed in a single session, consisting of three 10-minute procedures. A protective barrier is applied to the gums, followed by the application of special agents to the tooth surfaces. Laser beams are used to enhance and accelerate the activation of these agents. This whitening procedure, performed by applying laser to all tooth surfaces, takes approximately 45 minutes. With this technique, which causes minimal sensitivity, varying degrees of whitening are achieved depending on the patient’s tooth structure. The longevity of the whitening results also varies based on the patient’s dietary habits, lifestyle, and tooth structure, with an estimated duration of 6 to 18 months. The most significant advantage of laser whitening over other techniques is the shorter duration and the minimal sensitivity experienced during and after the procedure.
